INTRODUCTION

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (CanCham Korea) is a member-driven, non-profit organization that provides an extensive networking platform for its members with business interests in Canada, Korea and the broader Asia-Pacific region. CanCham Korea is a dynamic and influential Chamber, open to businesses and individuals with economic and/or personal ties to Canada and Korea. Canada was built and continues to grow on the strength that comes from diversity. CanCham Korea is no different, with members ranging from large Canadian corporations doing business in Korea, and well-known Korean corporations, all the way to start-ups and academics.

HISTORY

Canadians and Canadian businesses have always been active and influential leaders in the Korean community, and it was almost twenty years ago that a group of enthusiastic professionals organized themselves into a small and loosely organized business association. In 1995, the group became known as the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Korea. Over the years the Chamber has grown but it has always maintained its core strategies of collaborating with the Canadian Embassy, of having a serious programme of local and international speakers, of attracting visiting dignitaries and politicians, of providing trade information and assistance and, of engaging the community in highly-effective and engaging networking opportunities.

VISION

To present the Canadian business community and Canadian commercial interests in Korea, and to promote trade and investment between Canada and Korea.

MISSION

To be the preeminent business organization for networking and policy representation for the Canadian/Korean business communities in Korea.
