Damien Pereira was appointed Chief Representative of the Québec Government Office in Seoul in May 2024. He brings extensive experience in international economic affairs, innovation partnerships, and global market development across Europe, Canada, and Asia.
Previously, he served as Director of Growth and International Affairs at Aéro Montréal, Québec’s aerospace cluster. Before that, he was an International Affairs Advisor at Québec’s Ministry of Economy, Innovation, and Energy, within the Division of Canadian and International Innovation Partnerships.
From 2011 to 2021, Mr. Pereira represented Québec’s economic and diplomatic interests in France at the Québec Government Office in Paris and in Western Canada at the Québec Office in Vancouver. During this period, he held roles including Economic Affairs Attaché, Innovation Attaché, and Interim Director of Economic Affairs, developing market strategies and leading industrial initiatives to support exporting companies.
Earlier in his career, he supported the establishment of consular centers in Western Canada for the Consulate General of India in Vancouver and the High Commission of India in Ottawa. He also held private-sector roles in France, Australia, and Canada in the plastics, IT engineering, and transportation sectors.
Mr. Pereira holds a master’s degree in Organizational Sciences and Public Affairs from Paris Dauphine University, is a graduate of the International Business School MBS Paris XIII, and holds a diploma in International Business Management from Greystone College in Vancouver. He is a founding member of the Québec-Korea Business Association and previously served as Vice President of Innovation until 2024. He also served on the board of the Global Aerospace Cluster Partnership until 2024.
