Derrick Kim is Managing Director of Trade and Invest British Columbia in South Korea, based at the Canadian Embassy in Seoul. In this role, he leads a team of commercial and investment officers and advances bilateral trade and investment relations between British Columbia and South Korea. British Columbia accounts for more than half of Canada’s exports, and the province has maintained a sister-province relationship with Gyeonggi since 2008.
Prior to his current role, Derrick worked in foreign government, nonprofit organizations, and management consulting firms. He has served with the Government of British Columbia for more than six years.
Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Cornell University and a Graduate Diploma from McGill University.
