Sean Lee is Commercial Director at Methanex Korea, where he leads methanol sales and commercial strategy across the Asia region. His markets include Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and India. He has worked with Methanex for over 18 years.
Methanex is the world’s largest producer and supplier of methanol, with production facilities in New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Egypt, Trinidad, and Chile, and global headquarters in Vancouver, Canada.
Prior to joining Methanex, Sean worked at Rio Tinto for five years, managing iron ore sales to markets including Korea, Taiwan, and Pakistan.
Korea remains a key strategic market for Methanex and plays an important role in the region’s evolving energy landscape, including emerging opportunities in cleaner fuel applications such as methanol bunker fuel for marine transportation.
